These last few months I have had the privilege of getting to know a local believer’s sister. She has been a pleasure to get to know, and is not what you might think of a typical Kurdish person. She is not covered, dresses like a modest person in the US would dress. She is a wife and mother. She has the same concerns for her children that you would. She just found out that she is expecting another baby!
Her mom is covered, and they definitely say they are practicing Muslims. We have invited our believing friend, his sister and her family, his mom and a younger sister that he lives with and supports, to our home for Christmas.
They have all heard the gospel before, but please stand before the throne of God for them. Ask Him to send forth the Light of the truth of the gospel into their hearts, as they see the picture of the manger scene that hangs on our wall, and see the lights that adorn our home. Ask that they come to know the Light of the World. Ask God that they see themselves in the Light of His holiness, and know that they are sinners – dead in their trespasses and sin- in need of a Savior.
