An American evangelist has had good conversations with “Steve” because his fiancee is from a traditionally Christian country and he is open to talking about religions. One Friday, the evangelist sat at Steve’s cafe for an hour, but no one said anything. The evangelist was discouraged as he read and did language study. Then, Steve suddenly greeted the evangelist, sat down, and talked about religions for over an hour. The evangelist was able to give Steve a New Testament. He accepted it and read some parts of it. Together, they read Matthew 5 where Christ talks about anyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery. This led into a conversation about the holiness of God, about sin, and about how someone can only be righteous in Christ. Steve said he would read more.
