Our neighbor, *C, came over for coffee one evening. We had a really interesting conversation about henna. She said henna symbolizes sacrifice and because of this, they do henna when soldiers go to war (sacrifice to country), before weddings (sacrifice to husband), and for the Islamic Kurban Holiday (sacrifice to God). It was fascinating! I was able to explain how the story of Abraham sacrificing his son is like the story of God providing Jesus to be our sacrifice. While she was here, I sent her home with leftover party favors from our Valentine’s Day party – one for her and her sister. Each packet also had a gospel tract in it. Please pray that *C would meet the Christ through what I shared!
