*Kayhan and his family are Kurds from the most eastern part of Turkey. When growing up he had been into the neighboring country more than he had been west. But then a few years ago his three older brothers moved to Istanbul and now have a market they’ve started together. They wanted to make sure their younger brother, Kayhan, was able to go to and finish university, which he did. I have had opportunity to share with Kayhan’s three older brothers a few times, but this was the first time I was able to share with him. Me and my father-in-law were able to share that even our righteous deeds are as filthy rags and that we are only able to stand before God when the blood of Christ cleanses us. This was the first time Kayhan’s older brother had really reacted when talking about religion, in part because Kayhan was able to help me translate it perfectly. I could tell what we said affected them all. We were also able to leave them some gifts with websites in the mother language about Jesus and his work on the cross. Tomorrow night I am going to have tea with Kayhan for the first time since that discussion, please pray for the Spirit to pierce his heart and that I would be bold to share the good news.
