The local Kurdish fellowship we partner with in our city went to a 3-day camp to study the Word, have a time of relaxation, and worship together. We were unable to attend because of some security issues. However, when they got back, the leaders reported that they had baptized eight Kurdish brothers and sisters and that four other Kurdish people had put their faith in our Savior!
Two of those who believed that week were young men with whom our team and the local Kurdish fellowship had been sharing the Good News with for 1.5 years! I have a clear recollection of spending hours sitting on the living room floor of two of our believing friends as they, my teammates, and I called these young men to believe in Jesus Christ. We left that night knowing that it would take a work of God to open their eyes to the truth. By His glorious grace He did!
