I met a friend, *Murat, two years ago, and he seemed interested in the Good News. He came to a church worship service, met local believers, read a short evangelistic book, and even came to a picnic put on by the church. I was excited about our growing friendship and his interest.
He then told me that he took a job in a nearby country and would be there for 1.5 years. Fast forward two years to a couple weeks ago… He texted me and told me he was back in our country and wanted to meet up.
While being in a different Central Asian country made him more enthusiastic about his atheism, it also made him more curious about our faith. I was able to share the gospel with him again, and then again when three of his friends showed up to join us. He agreed to take and read a different short evangelistic book. He lives in a city an hour away, but I am hoping to meet up with him soon. Please pray for Murat’s salvation.
