Anyone who knows anything about the Kurds is aware of the tensions in areas where they live. The emotions on both sides exacerbate the already complex issues. Objectivity is almost impossible for anyone with personal knowledge and experience. However, the report on the Kurdish issue in Turkey recently released by the International Crisis Group is one of the more objective considerations we have seen in a long time. In addition to recommendations to both the Turkish government and Kurdish nationalist movement, the report details key developments of the last few years.
The full report is substantive, but a worthwhile read for those really interested in understanding both the history of this tension as well as recent developments.

Please pray for physical and political peace, but moreso for the peace that comes through the gospel.
