I had a conversation with a young Kurd who just graduated university a couple months ago. We talked about his dreams, the future, his family, his coming engagement to his long-time girlfriend and more.
After about 1.5 hours of chatting, the conversation turned to religion. As I told him how Christ took the place and punishment for all those who believe in Him, and that he gave his righteousness to them so that they would be clean before God, he responded by telling me that it was “unfair” and “illogical” for someone to take the punishment for another person. He told me over and over again how it was unjust for Jesus to die on the cross in our place. I had to agree with him wholeheartedly.
It was the second time I was able to share at length with him about this Good News. Please pray for *Kenan, that this “ridiculous” good news would penetrate his heart.
