Mehmet*, a Kurdish refugee that I have visited on several occasions and have taken to the hospital, was diagnosed with lung cancer several months ago. He and his wife are both believers and have remained strong in their faith throughout this difficult time.

Because of the high cost of cancer treatment in our country, Mehmet and his family moved back to their war-torn country to seek medical treatment. In their country, more tests were run and it was confirmed that Mehmet had cancer.

Mehmet, his wife, and believers here in our country have continued to pray for Mehmet’s health and have asked God to work a miracle in his life. When Mehmet went to the hospital this past week for the final tests needed before starting treatment, the doctors informed him that he no longer had cancer! His cancer was now a respiratory infection for which he has begun treatment. Praise the Lord!
