That the Gospel Would Advance Even in Turmoil
April 2
Rehmi recently professed faith in Jesus Christ and wants to be baptized. Praise be to God! Please continue to pray for Rehmi and his wife, that they will grow and be lights in a dark place.
Please pray for the Kurds who are affected by a very tense political situation in a Central Asian country. Specifically, pray for those who are fleeing the conflict and seeking refuge. Some of them are Christians and/or are related to Christians in Central Asia. May God give wisdom to those in authority making important decisions, and may He have mercy on those who are undergoing such difficulty. Pray that God will receive the glory, and that the gospel will advance in the midst of the turmoil.
On Saturday, April 7 from 12 – 5 p.m., the ladies on our team will partner with a few local ladies to do a henna outreach at an annual festival in our city. These ladies will be in teams of three and will draw a henna design on women as they explain the gospel. Please pray for clarity and boldness as they share. Pray for receptive hearts. Pray for wisdom in dealing with the unexpected. Pray they don’t encounter any problems from attendees or local authorities.
Please pray for Nancy*, a woman we met briefly last week who came in right before our English-language worship service. We gave her a video to watch and told her to come back this week to hear about the Easter holiday (in her own language). Please pray that Nancy and her whole family will watch the DVD and want to know more. Nancy also said she had read the New Testament and couldn’t understand it. Pray for blinders to be removed for people who are trying to read the Word.
