My wife is really good friends with a lady in our building who is our age and has two kids. They have coffee multiple times a week and text constantly. However, we haven’t been able to spend time with her husband. He works a lot and they have plans when he is free.
But, this last Sunday we were able to have them over for dinner and tea. After introducing them to the gracious gift that is Papa John’s, we were able to have a good discussion about our beliefs and we were able to clearly share the gospel with them. They, of course, said the usual line “we are the same,” but I think we were able to communicate clearly how our beliefs are different. Towards the end of the conversation, the husband asked if there was a movie they could watch about our faith. I almost said “yes” too quickly, but we talked about it and we plan to give them a copy of the J-film soon. We pray for more opportunities and that my wife would get to share more with her friend since they see each other so often. It has been difficult with three little kids and because she hasn’t seemed as interested in the past, but was engaged in this conversation. Pray that they would be able to talk more about the gospel, and pray that when the movie is given, that their whole family would watch it, ask good questions, and believe the Good News that is found therein!
