The fighting in the Middle East continues to cause refugees to flee from their homes. Over the past couple of months, many families have fled to a Middle Eastern city where their friends and family have fled before. They have a ready-made community, but they came with nothing except the clothing on their backs, often spending their life savings to reach the border.
Once they reach the border, they walk over the mountain to reach peace. The local fellowship of Kurdish believers has stepped into this situation to help provide for the needs of these families. A Kurdish believer visits the families, assesses their needs, buys the items, and then delivers the items to the families.
While this believer is visiting, he shares the gospel with the families. For most of these refugees, itis the first time they have heard the good news of Jesus. Our Christian brother reported that the families are extremely open to the gospel and many have started attending the local fellowship.
Please pray for the Spirit to open the hearts of these families, that they may repent of their sins and trust Christ.
