The day after major turmoil in our country, I went down to the store below our building to grab us a Coke. Due to security reasons, we were staying put at our house for the day, and decided to watch a movie, so we figured we could watch a movie and the Coke was needed to go with our popcorn! I planned to run down as quick as possible grab the Coke and get back to the apartment.
When I paid for the drink the guy who works there, *Samuel, said something to me as I walked away. I thought it was just another saying that locals throw out in their greetings and goodbyes. I smiled and kept walking away. He said it again and I realized that he said, “We say, ‘Allah,’ what do you Christians say?” I thought, “Wow! I hear you, God. Thank you for this reminder!” So he and I had a short conversation about what we call God and why which allowed me to share quite a bit of Truth. We didn’t get deep into the gospel but it was an open door to talk
So he and I had a conversation about what we call God and why which allowed me to share quite a bit of Truth. We didn’t get deep into the gospel, but it was an open door to talk further at a later time, and a great reminder that even in weird situations God has us here for a purpose. Please pray that the Lord would give us further time to talk and get deeper into the Good News that saves men and women!
